To help address this and other important environmental issues, Smart Seconds, our fully independent online reuse operation, allows Overton Recycling customers to choose whether their obsolete items are set aside for reuse, instead of recycling.

Potential reuse items are then checked by a team of highly trained Smart Seconds technicians, offering customers peace of mind that all our electrical and electronic equipment complies with the very latest safety legislation.

Whilst some items are stripped and their component parts resold, others are repaired and, where appropriate, PAT tested (Portable Appliance Testing) ready for resale, in accordance with The Institution of Electrical Engineers ‘Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment.’
